Hello, My name is Benton Barber. I am using this blog site to tell my story. I am 55 years old and for the first time in my life I making a decision to break the law knowingly. The reason for this blog is to syndicate it to newspapers,churchs and any organization that will view and offer advice. On July 2nd 2007, my ex wife, Jennifer allowed me to pick up my little girls. Sloan and Ali. I picked them up at 7:30 AM. Before the day was over my ex had used my child to have me arrested. My children watched as I was removed for the pool where we all were playing. I was paying Jennifer some money as I don't want to be a deadbeat dad. My situation is this. I thought this woman loved me. I did not believe she would actually divorce me for the terrible mistake I had made. She sued me for divorce and I did even appear in court " I am an idiot" I know, but love makes us all do stupid things. By not showing in court, Jennifer was awarded the girls, $1200 a month reqardless of my income. It was called an agreed judgement. I did not agree, but could not financially, emotionally fight the order. Jennifer had worked with me in our business together. We had a descent life I guess, but she knew how valuable she was to me. This order was rediculous. I wasn't earning a thousand dollars a month. I was robbing Peter to pay Paul floating around endlessly. I was mad at myself and Jennifer.
